Bhubaneswar: Mohana Block Education Officer (BEO) Narendra Behera has made helmets compulsory for primary school teachers while riding bikes to ensure their safety and set a good example for students.
Teachers risk their lives daily by riding bikes without helmets despite meeting with frequent accidents. This alarming trend has prompted the Block Education Officer to take strict measures to ensure teacher safety.
It is learnt that as many as 900 teachers are posted at different schools under the Mohana block in Gajapati district.
