Bhubaneswar: A low pressure area over the North Bay of Bengal off the West Bengal-Bangladesh coasts has moved northwestwards and lay as a well marked low pressure area over the North Bay of Bengal and adjoining Bangladesh-West Bengal coasts today.
The system is likely to move northwestwards across Gangetic West Bengal towards Jharkhand. The weather department has said it may concentrate further and intensify into a depression during the next 24 hours.
Fishermen and coastal residents have also been advised to stay updated with further bulletins.
