Baripada: A 28-year-old youth collapsed on the field while playing cricket at Manatri Mini Stadium in Oodisha’s Mayurbhanj district and died soon after on Sunday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Bikash Kar, a resident of Manatri village under Baisinga police limits in the district.
According to reports, Bikash collapsed on the field while playing a cricket match with friends and became seriously ill. A fellow player rushed him to Manatri Hospital where the doctor declared him dead.
The Mantri Out-Post Police registered a case of death and sent his body to PRM Medical College and Hospital in Baripada for autopsy.
