Bhubaneswar: One youth was critically injured following a group clash near Chilli Pokhari under Badagada police station limits in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday night.
The injured has been identified as Shankar Dakua. He sustained severe injuries to his nose and was rushed to Capital Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment in a critical condition.
According to reports, the incident took place when a group of youths were playing a Ludo game under a banyan tree near Chilli Pokhari. A dispute reportedly broke out between Dakua and another group of youths, which soon escalated into a heated altercation.
During the confrontation, one of the youths allegedly attacked Dakua with a sharp object, leaving him seriously injured. Several others are suspected to have been involved in the incident.
Following the incident, local residents alerted the police. A team from Badagada police station reached the spot and initiated an investigation. Two youths have been detained in connection with the case, while efforts are on to identify and apprehend others involved.
