Bhubaneswar: A youth was found dead on Jogindrapur-Damamunda Road under Manamunda police limits in Boudh district.

The victim, identified as Kaibalya Pradhan from Damamunda village, was reportedly returning home from work when he was brutally attacked and killed.

According to sources, Kaibalya worked as a cook for a contractual agency and was heading back home on Saturday night when he was allegedly assaulted and murdered. His body was found on the roadside, with severe head injuries. There were suspicions that the victim might have been stoned to death by miscreants.

Police have, meanwhile, launched an investigation into the incident, collecting evidence and questioning family members.

Further investigation is underway.
