Bhubaneswar: A labourer died after coming in contact with a live wire while cutting a tree at Dunguripada in Bolangir district, on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Kumar Harpal of Kalijharan village.
According to sources, a Dunguripada-based doctor had asked Kumar to cut a tree near his house. Kumar came in contact with a live wire when he was busy cutting the tree and he died on the very spot.
Upon being informed, police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. Besides, an investigation has been launched by police in this connection.
