Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar has predicted that the temperature in Odisha will rise again from March 8.
According to the forecast, the temperature in western Odisha will rise significantly, with some places likely to record temperatures above 40°C on March 6 and 7. The districts that may experience high temperatures include Balangir, Titlagarh, Jharsuguda, Sundergarh, Sambalpur, Malkangiri, and Boudh. However, the coastal areas of Odisha are expected to record temperatures below 35°C. The temperature in Paradip, Puri, Gopalpur, Chatrapur, and Nayagarh districts may drop to 32°C.
From March 8, the temperature is expected to rise again in western Odisha. The places that may experience high temperatures include Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Balangir, Subarnapur, Boudh, Phulbani, and Titlagarh.
On Wednesday, Boudh recorded the highest temperature of 38.8°C, followed by Malkangiri at 37.5°C and Angul at 37.1°C.
Meanwhile, the weather office has predicted that the weather will remain mostly dry in coastal and northern Odisha.
