Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance sleuths today conducted simultaneous searches on the properties of Chief Engineer Baikuntha Nath Sarangi, Plan Roads, and RW Division.
The searches were carried out at seven locations across Angul, Bhubaneswar, and Pipili (Puri) as part of an investigation into allegations of possession of disproportionate assets (DA) beyond his known sources of income.
The search operation was conducted by a team of eight Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), 12 Inspectors, six Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs), and other supporting staff, led by the Odisha Vigilance.
The searches were authorised by search warrants issued by the Hon’ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Angul.
The locations searched included Sarangi’s residential houses and office chamber. The properties searched include a double-storeyed residential house at Karadagadia, Angul, a flat in Bhubaneswar, and a flat in Pipili, among others.

- House of his relative at Sikshyakapada, PS/Dist-Angul
- Paternal house at Vill-Lokeipasi, Tahasil/Dist-Angul
- Double-storeyed paternal building at Matiasahi, PS/Dist-Angul
- Office chamber located at Chief Engineer, RD Planning and Road, Bhubaneswar
