Elderly Woman Drowns In Pond In Balasore

Elderly Woman Drowns

Bhubaneswar: An elderly woman drowned in a pond near Baigadia village under Khantapada police station in Balasore district on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Soni Singh, a resident of the Nilgiri police station area in Balasore.

According to sources, Soni was taking a bath in the pond during the afternoon when she accidentally fell into the water.

After she failed to return home on time, her family members launched a search and found her lying in the pond.

She was rescued and taken to Khantapada Community Health Centre (CHC) for treatment.

Unfortunately, upon arrival, doctors declared her dead.
