Bhubaneswar: The 35th Konark Festival is set to commence tomorrow, running from December 1 to 5 at an open-air stage in Konark.
Organized by the Tourism Department, Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department, and Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademy, the five-day cultural event will feature an array of classical dance performances, including Odissi, Kathak, Manipuri, Mohiniyattam, Kuchipudi, and Bharatanatyam. These performances will showcase themes of devotion, love, and mythology.
The open-air stage, illuminated by soft golden lights, adds an enchanting ambiance to the event. Additionally, the international sand art festival will be a part of the Konark festival. The pristine Chandrabhaga Beach will transform into a canvas for global sand artists during the Sand Art Festival.
Over the course of five days, sculptors from India and abroad will create awe-inspiring sand sculptures that reflect themes of culture, environment, and social issues.
