Bhubaneswar: Koida police on Thursday recovered the body of a differently-abled patient who ran away from Koida Community Health Centre where he was undergoing treatment. The patient was a resident of Nepal.
According to sources, the deceased patient was residing at Koida for a long time. He was earning his living by working as a daily wage earner.
He fell ill three days back and was rushed to Koida Community Health Centre. He reportedly left the hospital premises without informing anybody. Hospital authorities made a frantic search for him, but in vain. On Thursday, his body was found lying near a drain under Koida police limits.
Police, meanwhile, seized the body for post-mortem and launched an investigation to ascertain the exact reason behind his death.
