Bhubaneswar: An Odisha cadre IAS officer Sushil Kumar Lohani has been appointed as the Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India.
The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of the 1995-batch Odisha cadre officer, said a notification issued by the Union Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions today.
Lohani is presently serving as the Principal Secretary to the Odisha Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water Department.
He was the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) in Odisha from 2019 to 2023.
