Young Man Dies Due To Alleged Gang Attack In Nabarangapur District

Nabarangapur: A young man from Barwada village under Kodinga police limits in Nabarangapur district allegedly died due to a gang attack, on Monday night.

The deceased has been identified as Umakant Harijan.

According to reports, Umakant had visited Barwada village on Saturday to harvest paddy. On Monday night, he went to a nearby house to charge his mobile phone. Later, family members found him critically injured and rushed him to the Papadahandi Community Health Centre, where doctors declared him dead.

The family alleged that Umakant died due to a gang attack. The incident has been reported to the Kodinga police station, and police launched an investigation.

Umakant’s body has been kept at the Papadahandi Community Health Centre for post-mortem.
