Bhubaneswar: Odisha Director General of Police Yogesh Bahadur Khurania on Wednesday honoured 55 police officers and personnel with the DGP Disc for their outstanding service, sense of duty and performance in the line of duty.
At a special ceremony held at Police Bhawan here, Khurania presented medals and certificates of appreciation to the awardees, whose names had been announced on the occasion of the 91st Odisha Police Foundation Day in recognition of their exemplary service.
Among those honoured were Director, State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB), Avinash Kumar; DIG, Crime Branch, B Gangadhar; Berhampur SP Shravan Vivek M; Angul SP Rahul Jain; Nayagarh SP Shubhendu Kumar Patra; Ganjam SP Harish B.C.; Jagatsinghpur SP Ankit Kumar Verma; Nabarangpur SP Kashyap Parth Jagadish; Boudh SP Kuldeep Meena; SDPO, R Udayagiri, Gajapati, Rakesh Kumar Sahu; and Commandant, 3rd IRB, Kalinga Nagar, Yakub Khan.
The awardees also included three Additional SPs, two Deputy Commandants, three DSPs, one Assistant Commandant, eight Inspectors, four Sub-Inspectors, four Assistant Sub-Inspectors, five Havildars, one driver and 13 Constables/OAPF personnel/Sepoys.
The medal presentation ceremony was organised under the direct supervision of Additional Director General of Police (Modernisation) Soumendra Priyadarshi. Several senior officers from the State Police Headquarters attended the programme.
