Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has extended heartiest congratulations to the Border Security Force’s (BSF) first-ever All-Women Mt. Everest Expedition Team for successfully scaling the world’s highest peak.

In a message, the Chief Minister lauded the team’s remarkable achievement, describing it as a proud moment for the nation, especially during the Diamond Jubilee year of the BSF. He said the courageous feat reflects the true spirit of Nari Shakti and the extraordinary capabilities of India’s daughters.

The four-member team comprising Constable Kouser Fatima from Ladakh, Constable Munmun Ghosh from West Bengal, Constable Rabeka Singh from Uttarakhand, and Constable Tsering Chorol from Kargil successfully summited Mt. Everest (8,848.86 metres) at 8 am (IST) today under the Mission Vande Mataram. At the summit, the brave ‘Mahila Seema Praharis’ sang the national song Vande Mataram in unison, creating a historic and emotional moment at an altitude where even standing is extremely challenging.

CM Majhi extended his best wishes to the entire expedition team for their outstanding success.
