Low Pressure Area Likely Over Bay Of Bengal Tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: Another Low Pressure Area is likely to form over Northeast & adjoining Eastcentral Bay of Bengal by tomorrow evening under the influence of a cyclonic circulation over the same area.

As informed by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the cyclonic circulation lies over Myanmar coast & adjoining Gulf of Martaban. It is likely to move northwestwards & emerge into Northeast & adjoining Eastcentral Bay of Bengal.

Under its influence, a Low Pressure Area is likely to form over the same region around the evening of September 24. It is likely to move west-north-westwards towards Odisha coast during the subsequent 48 hours.

The system is likely to trigger a fresh spell of heavy rainfall over Odisha and adjoining areas from September 25, the IMD added.
