Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president and Leader of Opposition in the Odisha Assembly, Naveen Patnaik, on Sunday congratulated C. Joseph Vijay on being sworn in as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
The former five-time Chief Minister of Odisha expressed hope that Tamil Nadu would achieve new milestones in development under Vijay’s leadership.
“Congratulate Shri @actorvijay on being sworn in as the Chief Minister of #Tamilnadu. I wish, under your leadership the state reaches new heights of development with the support of people of the state. Best wishes,” Patnaik said in a post on X.
Vijay took oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on Sunday at a grand ceremony attended by senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. His swearing-in marks the formation of the first non-DMK, non-AIADMK government in the state in six decades.
